We have just released new versions with 92% reduction in disk IO, including a version for Intel Macs. New workunits have also been generated, so enjoy crunching! Please note that a BOINC version > 5.0 is required.

BBC Climate Change Expt Nominated for BAFTA Award

The BBC Climate Change Experiment including the documentaries 'Meltdown' and 'Climate Change: Britain Under Threat' have been nominated for an award in the Interactivity category by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA). Thanks to everyone taking part and making this possible! The winner will be announced 20 May 2007 in the ceremony at the London Palladium.

New Data Server

A new server has been installed in Oxford to take the strain off our upload servers. We're currently in the process of moving data onto it, and apologise for any delay in uploading your trickles whilst we complete the transfer.

In the past few months we've been doing analysis of the results from the project. In light of this analysis we've decided to extend the project even further! This will again be a small extension, similar to the extension in January 2007, and will help us to study some of the more interesting issues that have emerged from this project, and have more confident final conclusions. It also means anyone waiting for new simulations to crunch will now have something to work on! Watch this space for more details to follow very soon.
