操作系统是Ubuntu 12.04 LTS。
高FLOP是16核CPU加速器干的，虽说价格有些坑不过能效很不错。预装一些开发的SDK（C/C++），目测是用来………………………………的。（架构很奇怪的说：http://www.adapteva.com/introduction/ ，基本是一群互联的小弱……【单精度……
典型功耗5W，最大功耗（根据电源插口设计）为10W。

这个跟SPARC架构的CPU没法比的，感觉上更多是作为协处理器存在的，而目前Xilinx也有意于这一领域，曾经推出过与Intel CPU的互联工具，所以我并不太看好它。

仔细看了一下，Parallella电路板是开源的，不过Epiphany架构不是开源的，而是作为IP核开发的，这个没办法拿来骗经费的说！

而且它的所谓eLink接口是非标准私有接口，想要与主处理器连接必须通过FPGA把接口转换为GPIO来实现，虽然其提供相应设计实例，但连接速度估计高不了，不过在Parallella上是用Zynq系列器件作为主处理器使用，其内含有2个ARM A9 CPU，这就使得主处理器与FPGA之间实现了快速连接，速度会提高不少。

还有就是Epiphany作为全新的架构，软硬件生态也好不了多少的，我估计adapteva对Epiphany提供的支持是无法与Sun当年对SPARC的支持相提并论的，加之还不开源，真的不看好它。

目前的BTC矿机都是专用硬件，如FPGA和ASIC，这个要改造的话，估计一般也只是涉及到软件方面的优化和重新编译，不过，如果Zynq的FPGA资源足够的话，也可以在硬件方面进行优化，不过这个门槛就有点儿高了，而且还要Parallella单板上提供Zynq的编程接口才行。

Parallella准备支持BOINC平台，不过什么时候实现就不一定了，计划如下：

3.1. BOINC Many-core Accelerator Support

Summary: BOINC support for many-core accelerators would provide a significant performance/energy-efficiency boost for volunteer computing applications built using the framework. The project would use the Parallella hardware platform and many-core programming infrastructure as a test and development vehicle.

Expected results: support for Parallella platform within BOINC and at least one open source volunteer computing project that uses the framework.

Knowledge prerequisite: C/C++, OpenCL, BOINC.

Mentor: Yaniv Sapir, Adapteva.
