老实说，我对seti项目兴趣不大，太玄乎了。

seti作为分布计算的鼻祖（当年没有大型计算机肯计算这个，只好谋求分布计算）唯一的作用是大大推动了公益分布计算的发展。直接导致boinc的诞生。

...是不是说，只要我在team china，且team china参加了比赛，我只要算这个比赛的项目就可以为team china贡献分？还是另外需要报名什么的？

    如果Team China报名参赛了，那么你只要在队里，计算的得分就能纳入到Team China的比赛得分中。

好像以前说过了，我再说一遍吧：不建议参加DRT项目，更别说是比赛了。

首先，它不是由研究机构运行的，实际上它由什么人运行我们不知道，而生成彩虹表的目的也不明。虽然我只上过密码学的基本课程，但是彩虹表这种东西据我所知已经研究得很透彻了，现在再去生成彩虹表在学术上没有意义。另外，生成的彩虹表是可以让全世界下载的，包括黑客。这是铸犁为剑，而且是给别人用的剑。

对于这个比赛，我的建议是愿意参加的人就参加，如果有人愿意以Team China身份去的话就去。但是不是DRT跑分党的就不要凑热闹了，搞搞GPUGrid或者FAH更好。

A wonderful discussion.  A few things to clear up.  Google translator is not perfect so I hope I am understanding what everyone here means in their posts.  I'll try to clear a few things up that I read and believe was misinterpreted by google.

When I used the word "evil" for The Sicituradastra it was for fun.  Sici is not evil.  :)

We, the Seti.USA and Team Musketeers have worked with many teams in the Boinc community.  When I say worked I mean joined each others teams on a common project.  someone mentioned in an earlier post about leaving team China, we may join another team for a time to unite for a common project but we retain our country affiliation to our native country.  To some that is important.  To other  not so important.  All points go it the country and you can still join another team and have some fun in a joint effort.  

Why do we do this?  We do this to learn from other people and cultures.  The idea that I can communicate to you from my home in New York is amazing.  Each member of Team China is an individual with a story.  I am just an American from New York interested in meeting people from all over the world who crunch work-units in Boinc.  To share ideas, discuss this hobby of ours and to learn from you.  Since I've started reaching out to other teams, I've had the pleasure of talking to people all over the world on Skype. England, Germany, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, France, and now China.  If anyone has questions about New York, the United States, our history, our many different cultures, I'd be happy to talk about it.  But that is for another topic.

I hope I have not offended anyone or bored you with my post above.  Please understand that it even with Goggle translator it is sometimes hard for me to understand some of the posts.  I'm sure it's the same for you gentlemen.  So if there is a person in your group that speaks/writes English well, feel free to translate for me.
