A question of English Language Using

In China, 中学 is often translated into "Middle School". Another translation is "Senior High School" and "Junior High School" stand for "初中" and "高中". Which one is correct or will be easier understood by English-speakings? Thanks!

Haha, good question. Now the fact is here in Australia, I think US/UK are the same, we call it high school.
This is to do with how the education system is run. In Australia we are garanteed 12 years of education so everyone can go to year 12 assuming they don't drop out or fail subjects consistantly. So there is no real reason to separate "middle school" and "senior high school" out.
Having said that, it is also true that in US there are junior and senior high school. And in Australia they also exist to a lesser extent in the cathlic/private school system.

So middle school is definitely a no-no. I would say junior/senior high school is more commonly used here.

Anyone know whether "sports meeting" is chinglish or pure english?

I learnt the word sports meeting in my junior school textbook stands for 运动会 in chinese. But i think that meeting is a kind of .. like people sit around a desk and discuss about things..

in Canada, here has 12 levels or 13 levels before someone enrolled by university.
1-6 =primary school
7-12= secondary school
13=preparatory (如果成绩好可以不读直接进大学)

In my opinion,secondary school or middle school mean 初中
high school and junior college(usually be used in singapore) mean 高中
