2017-12-04: PrimeGrid, GFN-262144 Mega Prime!

On 3 December 2017, 06:30:24 UTC, PrimeGrid?s Generalized Fermat Prime Search found the Generalized Fermat mega prime:

3673932^262144+1

The prime is 1,721,010 digits long and enters Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database ranked 6th for Generalized Fermat primes and 53rd overall.

The discovery was made by Sean Humphries (No.15) of the United States using an AMD Radeon RX Vega in an AMD Ryzen 7 1800X CPU with 32GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional Edition. This GPU took about 24 minutes to probable prime (PRP) test with GeneferOCL5. Sean is a member of the Overclock.net team.

The prime was verified on 3 December 2017, 07:29:36 UTC by Wolfgang Schwieger (DeleteNull) of Germany using an NVidia GeForce GTX Titan Black GPU in an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU at 4.00GHz with 32GB RAM, running Linux. This GPU took about 27 minutes to probable prime (PRP) test with GeneferOCL5. Wolfgang is a member of the SETI.Germany team.

The PRP was confirmed prime by an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz with 16GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional Edition. This computer took about 5 hours 45 minutes to complete the primality test using multithreaded LLR.

2017.12.04 前两天刚发现的那个排名第六的广义费马数被挤下去啦2333
最大广义费马数排行榜第六名的宝座现在由3673932^262144+1占领! (掩面,3596074^262144+1 上位才不到一个月就被干下去了,我还以为看错新闻。。
这个广义费马数有一百七十二万一千零一十位数字(比之前的第六名多了2438位!

On 3 December 2017, 20:54:51 UTC, PrimeGrid?s PPS Mega Prime Search project found the Mega Prime:
1065*2^3447906+1

The prime is 1,037,927 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database ranked 210th overall.

The discovery was made by Juan C. Toledo (Meithan West) of Mexico using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz with 8GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 1 hour 48 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Juan is a member of the UNAM ? Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico team.

The prime was verified on 3 December 2017, 22:23:34 UTC by Lucas Brown (LucasBrown) of the United States using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz with 64GB RAM, running Linux. This computer took about 48 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR. Lucas is a member of the XKCD team.

2017.12.05 又一个巨大的普罗斯素数!
本月3号,PrimeGird 的子项目Proth Prime Search 找到了这个巨大的素数:
1065*2^3447906+1
该素数有一百零三万七千九百二十七位,在已知所有素数中排名第210.(最近新发现的素数好像都是这个位置左右。。
发现者和验证信息就不译了,老看土豪们的配置也没啥意思。。

妈个鸡,重大失误!
PPS-Mega Prime 全称应该是Proth Prime Search Mega Prime ,Proth Prime Search(PPS)是现在PrimeGird 的一个子项目,目的是寻找普罗斯素数,我之前还以为PPS是个什么算法。。赶紧把前两天发的改了。。
*普罗斯数是如下形式的数:k*2^n+1 其中k是奇数,n是正整数,且2^n>k。既是普罗斯数又是素数的整数,称为普罗斯素数。

2017-12-15: PrimeGrid, TRP Mega Prime!

On 13 December 2017, 07:13:55 UTC, PrimeGrid?s The Riesel Problem project eliminated k=273809 by finding the mega prime:

273809*2^8932416-1

The prime is 2,688,931 digits long and will enter Chris Caldwell's The Largest Known Primes Database ranked 29th overall. This is PrimeGrid's 15th elimination. 49 k's now remain.

The discovery was made by Wolfgang Schwieger (DeleteNull) of Germany using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz with 32 GB RAM running Linux. This computer took about 2 hours and 14 minutes to complete the primality test using multithreaded LLR. Wolfgang is a member of the SETI.Germany team.

The prime was verified on 15 December 2017, 11:39:55 UTC, by Christian Geffcken (CGe0963) of Switzerland using an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3437U CPU @ 1.90GHz with 8 GB RAM running Microsoft Windows 7 Professional. This computer took about 41 hours and 47 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.

2017.12.15 黎瑟尔问题项目(The Riesel Problem project )发现了新的素数!
本月13日,黎瑟尔问题项目验证了一个新的超大素数:
273809*2^8932416-1
并由此排除了黎瑟尔问题中k = 273809 的情况。这是PrimeGrid 在此问题中排除的第15种情况,现在还剩下49个k值等待测验。
该素数有两百六十八万八千九百三十一位数(2,688,931),在所有已知最大素数中排名第29.
此次发现归功于来自德国的老铁Wolfgang Schwieger 。他使用的计算机CPU 为酷睿i7-6700k,内存为32GB ,系统为Linux 。这台计算机使用multithreaded LLR 检验该数花了2小时14分钟。Wolfgang 是SETI.Germany 团队的成员。

提一个小问题:47 k's不是四万七千个,而是47个k…… Riesel 问题处理的是形如k*2^n-1的数,这里的k就是他们说的k……

The discovery was made by Rod Skinner (rjs5) of the United States using an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 in an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU at 3.70GHz with 16GB RAM, running Linux. This GPU took about 18 minutes to probable prime (PRP) test with GeneferOCL3. Rod is a member of the Intel Corporation team.

The PRP was confirmed prime by an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz with 16GB RAM, running Microsoft Windows 10 Professional. This computer took about 6 hours 59 minutes to complete the primality test using LLR.

2018.01.12 新的超级大素数
2018.01.10 ,PrimeGird 的广义费马数搜索项目找到了这个广义费马数:
3853792^262144+1
该数长度为一百七十二万六千四百五十二位,在已知最大素数中排名第55,在已知最大广义费马数中排名第六。
发现者是来自美帝的老铁Rod Skinner (rjs5)(团队是Intel Corporation Team),使用装备为GTX 1080 ,i7-8700K @3.70GHz 和16GB RAM ,系统为Linux。该GPU使用GeneferOCL3验证这个数花了18分钟。
